Happy Fall!
As we enter into November and begin to plan for Thanksgiving, we get caught up in all the preparations. Making sure that we know who is all coming and what they are all bringing. If you are hosting you have to make sure that the house is clean and you have all the dishes needed to serve the meal. You have to make sure that you have enough seating for everyone and that everyone knows what time to be there for dinner.
It is a lot of things to think about and coordinate. I think often times we get so caught up in the doing that we forget to stop and remember what Thanksgiving is all about. Giving thanks. Maybe you invite people around the table to think about what they are all thankful for. Or maybe you just take a moment during all the hub bub to stop and think about what you are thankful for. Make sure when you are thinking about all the things you are thankful for that you include, among those many thanks, your faith and relationship with God.
This is the time of year where we all start to become extremely busy with all the holidays that are unfolding in front of us. And I think we often forget to stop and take a moment. Take a moment to be still. Take a moment to appreciate the joys and blessings around you. Be even that much more intentional about your faith practices. And find a way to deepen that relationship with God.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you.
